A Middle Way Course
Part One of a Three Part Series on the Bhagavad Gita
as translated by Lama Marut
Four Thursdays 7:30 – 9:15
May 14th, 21st, 28th and June 4th
This course covers the first part of the revered Indian epic, The Bhagavad Gita. The warrior prince Arjuna breaks down before a battle as he sees his family on both sides, and begs his friend and charioteer, Krishna, to tell him what to do.
Krishna speaks to him, and in doing so addresses the deep internal battle all of us face when life is not working out the way we expect.
Gandhi referred to the Bhagavad Gita his spiritual dictionary. “My life has been full of external tragedies,” he wrote, “and if they have left no indelible scar on me, I owe it all to the teaching of Bhagavad Gita.”
