Being humans, we are regularly experiencing loss. The grief that arrives with the death of a loved one can render us helpless and hopeless. And yet, there is an opportunity for transformation in this situation as well as great challenge.
With a trained grief therapist on hand, these evening sessions provide a safe place for people to came with their grief. We will make time for learning how to traverse the grief journey through music, meditation, and grief education. Participants are free to share or not, active participation is voluntary.
Group leader Anita Pandolfe Ruchman has been a healing arts practitioner for 40 years. She studied massage, mediation, and esoteric studies in the 1970’s, and continues studying the Dharma and Sound Healing.
There is no session the first Monday of each month.
She earned her RN and MSN at Mass General Hospital, and her BA in Women’s Learning and Development at Lesley University. Anita has served thousands of families on the North Shore as a massage therapist, RN, midwife, childbirth educator and psychotherapist. Since the untimely death of her youngest daughter in 2010, she has specialized in grief counseling and healing- from- loss retreats. Anita has created a unique mindfulness- based model of Holistic Care which includes, talk therapy combined with; breathwork, body work, energy work and sound healing.
