Meditation can be done whether you are sitting or laying down. All that is required is that you be relaxed and able to relax further. However, you should close your eyes and breathe naturally. Just focus on your breathing. Hear it leave your body and pay close attention to how your body reacts to the sensation. If you feel stray thoughts start to come in on you while you are focused on your breathing, refocus on it. The entire process may take a little practice. Our minds tend to wander with everything else that we deal with daily. Don’t give up and be happy if you can focus only on your breathing for a couple minutes at first. As time goes on, you will be able to maintain the focus longer.
